This large painting titled “Hot Totty” immediately stood out to me because of its bold colour and playfulness.

The whole painting is built around a grid of compartments, each containing a different interpretation of the classical female torso. Some appear like sculptures, others are abstracted shapes or silhouettes, and a few even incorporate unexpected elements like musical notation or decorative textures.

What I like most is how the bright red background makes the figures really stand out, almost like objects displayed in a gallery cabinet or museum case.

It’s a striking and slightly humorous painting, and the repeated variations of the figure give it a strong rhythm across the whole canvas.“
